Zeni traces its wine history to Bartolomeo Zeni in 1870, when the family began trading wine around Lake Garda and Lombardy. The modern direction was shaped by Nino Zeni, who emphasized separate vinification of grapes from distinct wine areas rather than blending everything together. Zeni operates from Bardolino and also has a winery in Fumane, in the Valpolicella area, dedicated to raisining and vinifying grapes for its Valpolicella wines. The estate's Valpolicella wines are aged in the Bardolino cellar.
