Domaine de l'Abbaye is based in Le Thoronet in Provence, near the Romanesque Abbaye du Thoronet. Guide Hachette identifies Franc Petit as the grower connected with the domaine and says he has worked since 1979 to reconstitute the original vineyard, farming about 30 hectares. Petit Futé describes the property as a former abbey farm dating to the 12th century, with historic vaulted cellars and modern vinification equipment.
