Planeta's Vittoria estate is centered on Dorilli, an estate the family established in 1997 after restoring an old farmhouse and replanting vineyards. The Dorilli and Mogli vineyards are planted entirely to Nero d'Avola and Frappato on fine, light red sands. Planeta describes Vittoria as an important family place and a natural home for Cerasuolo di Vittoria, Sicily's DOCG red based on these two native grapes. The wine is made to emphasize red fruit, spice, freshness and the sandy-soil character of the area.
