What Moscato tastes like
Orange blossom, peach, apricot and honey from the Muscat grape, one of the few varieties that actually smells like grapes. Moscato d'Asti from Piedmont is gently sparkling, around 5.5% alcohol and delicately sweet; still Moscato from California is a little richer and sweeter. Both are meant to be drunk young and very cold.
Serving Moscato
Chill it to 40–45°F and pour it with fruit desserts, pastries, brunch, spicy food or on its own as an aperitif. Its low alcohol makes it an easy afternoon wine.
