About the winery · Rodney Strong Vineyards ›

Rodney Strong Vineyards was established in Sonoma County in 1959 by Rod Strong after his career as a dancer. The winery later became part of the Klein family, which has owned it for more than 30 years. Rodney Strong is closely tied to Sonoma County Chardonnay history, including early Chardonnay plantings in the area that became the Chalk Hill AVA. The current winemaking program is led by Justin Seidenfeld, named Director of Winemaking in 2019, with a focus on Sonoma-grown wines and sustainability.
