What it tastes like

Ripe blackberry and black-cherry fruit with cinnamon, clove and a toasted-oak finish. Smooth and round rather than grippy — built for easy drinking.

You’ll like this if…

You want a dependable, crowd-pleasing Cabernet that tastes plush without being sweet, and you'd rather spend on the steak than the bottle.

Why buy it

It's the wine that built the Josh brand, it goes with almost any red-meat dinner, and at this price the discount does the talking.

Winery story

Josh Cellars was founded in 2007 by Joseph Carr and named for his father Josh — a lumberjack, volunteer firefighter and veteran. Now part of Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, it's a negociant label: no estate vineyards, just fruit sourced from growers across California, blended by winemaker Wayne Donaldson into an approachable, fruit-forward house style. This Cabernet was the brand's very first wine.
