About the winery · Beringer Bros. ›
Beringer traces its Napa Valley history to Jacob and Frederick Beringer, who purchased land in St. Helena in 1875 and oversaw the winery's first harvest in 1876. The winery's estate includes historic caves and buildings, and Beringer notes that it was an early Napa winery to offer public tours after Prohibition. Beringer also highlights a legacy of innovation, including early gravity-flow facilities, hand-dug caves and notable Wine Spectator Wine of the Year recognition for both red and white wines.
