About the winery · Sterling Vineyards

Sterling Vineyards was founded in 1964 in Napa Valley by Peter Newton and Michael Stone. The winery was one of only 27 bonded wineries in Napa Valley at the time, and its Bordeaux-inspired wines were part of Napa's early rise as a fine-wine region. Sterling made its first Cabernet Sauvignon in 1969 and is also known for its hilltop, Mykonos-inspired winery and aerial gondola in Calistoga. The producer states that the property is powered by 100% renewable electricity and continues to pursue sustainability projects.
