Blackberry, plum and dark cherry with mocha, caramel, toffee and soft chocolatey tannins.
Choose this if you like plush, polished Napa Cabernet with ripe fruit and oak sweetness rather than a very lean or earthy Cabernet.
A recognizable Napa Valley Cabernet from a long-running producer, priced for a dinner-table upgrade rather than a collector splurge.
Grilled steak, barbecue ribs, roast beef, and rich weeknight or weekend meals.
Full-bodied, fruit-forward Napa Cabernet with smooth tannins and mocha-toned oak notes.
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon, polished California Bordeaux-style reds
Easy for newer Cabernet drinkers, still satisfying for shoppers who want classic Napa richness.
filet mignon · barbecued ribs · grilled t-bone steak · braised short ribs

Sterling Vineyards was founded in 1964 in Napa Valley by Peter Newton and Michael Stone. The winery was one of only 27 bonded wineries in Napa Valley at the time, and its Bordeaux-inspired wines were part of Napa's early rise as a fine-wine region. Sterling made its first Cabernet Sauvignon in 1969 and is also known for its hilltop, Mykonos-inspired winery and aerial gondola in Calistoga. The producer states that the property is powered by 100% renewable electricity and continues to pursue sustainability projects.
