Ruffino was founded in Pontassieve in 1877 by cousins Ilario and Leopoldo Ruffino. The winery is closely tied to Chianti history and helped build the international reputation of Tuscan wine. Today the company presents its work as a balance of Tuscan tradition, modern winemaking and sustainability-minded practices.
