Palm Bay describes the estate as a founding member of the Consorzio del Chianti Classico and notes that the property sits on former Etruscan and Roman settlements. The estate is associated with explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano, and the Cappellini family now owns and farms the property. The importer states the estate farms organically and has been certified since the 2014 vintage.
