About the winery · Sterling Vineyards ›

Sterling Vineyards was founded in 1964 by Peter Newton after he purchased an established vineyard parcel near Calistoga in Napa Valley. The winery became known for approachable, high-quality California wines and for its distinctive white-stucco, Greek island-inspired winery design. Sterling's history includes early California Merlot work, Napa Valley Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc production, and later expansion into broader California vineyard sourcing. Today, the Vintner's Collection/California tier offers widely available varietal wines such as this Pinot Noir.
