Caymus Vineyards is based in Rutherford in Napa Valley. Chuck Wagner and his parents, Lorna and Charlie Wagner Sr., opened Caymus in 1972 with 240 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery remains family-owned and run, with later generations continuing the family's farming and winemaking work. Caymus is best known for Cabernet Sauvignon and has expanded with this California-appellation Cabernet to highlight vineyard sites beyond Napa Valley.
